News from Italy today as construction is progressing on the first 50 metre Mangusta 165 REV motor yacht with the hull and superstructure of the yacht now joined.
It comes after the yacht, which is the 50 metre flagship of the Maxi Open REV series, was first revealed in June 2021. The model was developed by Overmarine’s in-house engineering department with designer Igor Lobanov.
Inspired by the design of 1930s sports cars, the 165 REV features large on-board volumes, and an “aggressive profile” that is both striking and imposing.
Accommodation is for a total of 12 guests across six cabins, including a main deck master. The rest of the guest accommodation, which can be configured to include four or five cabins, sits on the lower deck.
Power will come from four MTU 16V 2000 M96L 2000HP engines for a top speed of 34 knots and a range of 650 nautical miles.
