Lusben completes impressive refit on 46.7m Far Far Away

The 46.7 metre Inace superyacht Far Far Away has undergone a 10 metre extension as part of a two year refit at Italian yard Lusben.

Originally 36.7 metres, Far Far Away was first launched in 2012 and began the refit in November 2019. The hull was lengthened by the insertion of an eight metre module amidships and the extension of the stern platform by 1.5 metres.

“Such a substantial hull lengthening work has never been carried out,” said the yacht’s captain, Meo Palmieri. “Lusben responded with promptness, competence and professionalism.”

Elsewhere, the yacht’s onboard systems, including electric and safety, were completely upgraded and a new watertight door was installed.

“The entire structure of the yacht was redesigned to increase on board space in order to improve the comfort of guests and crew,” the yard added.

Elsewhere, the yacht’s propulsion system was upgraded following the installation of new 99kW CAT generators. This increased Far Far Away’s range to 8000 nautical miles and allows the yacht to cruise for three months without stopping.

Accommodation is now for 15 guests in seven cabins, with room for up to nine crew members. Four guest bathrooms were refurbished, and the laundry room was transformed into a storage room.
