Oceanco look towards the International Superyacht Summit 2021

The third edition of The International Superyacht Summit will take place on 8 & 9 December onboard Queen Elizabeth 2, one of Dubai’s most iconic floating hotels.

The Summit previously focused on the development of the United Arab Emirates as a preferred winter destination for superyachts on the migratory trail.

This year, the Summit looks further afield and encourages the industry to take a collaboratory approach throughout the region. The two main themes will focus on how superyacht marina developments empower lifestyle and tourism and how builders can accommodate the needs of an ever-younger generation of owners and charterers. Central to this trend is also the growing environmental awareness of these younger generations and the higher intolerance of unsustainable practices.

In this year’s edition, Oceanco’s Marketing Director Paris Baloumis will take a leading role as a panelist on the topic: “How we build the perfect superyacht destination?”

“The lifestyles, needs and values of an emerging generation of yacht owners and charterers is evolving. As an industry we need to evolve with them to stay relevant,” says Paris Baloumis.
